Venue Description:
Enjoy this 4,500 acre prairie preserve, Iowa's largest remnant of the prairies that once covered most of the state. Just north of Sioux City, this preserve contains flora and fauna not found in other parts of the Loess Hills, including prairie rattlesnake and ten-petal blazing star. No trails exist within the preserve, however, you can arrange a visit through the preserve's office. Visitors are asked to be mindful of the preserve by not taking any items from the preserve with them, nor by leaving any trash behind. Motorized vehicles are not allowed within the preserve.
